  1. so far so good. OSX will generate larger files regardless.... and so will VW9.... I dont think it will currupt the file. as for classic and X... thats something for a different message board.
  2. actually suzanne, what i have found usefull in regards to the missing plug-ins is to perform the operations that i require in VW8 and then import or copy paste or even open in VW9. i find it a perfect example "incredible flexibility" metioned by previous users. it works with property bounds. unforyunately, moving the plugin from your 8 library to 9 DOES NOT WORK. tata
  3. i apologize if my snippy comments come across as negative. i appreciate all the response i get and find this site very usefull, due precisely to the ease and plain english of the dialogue. i dont believe i insulted anyone directly. if anything, my comments should be regarded as end user feedback and not be taken personally. kind regards to all.
  4. the cost is not nearly low enough for the LIMITED amount of "flexibilty"....i think VW 9 Plain should go back to its old alias... "MINI" cad. it just does not measure up anymore. to boot... hogwash on the "packeging" angle. they knew they'd sucker some of the old users!
  5. whatever happened to the leader line tool? this "call out" thing is a poor substitute. i'm using vectorworks 9... not architect not landmarks and i dont have a leader line tool. this makes it difficult to place notes on drawings. whose bright idea was it to get rid of this nifty plug-in? can i get it back? does it still exist in 9?
  6. I've found that my palletes often go away from document to document. i never change the workspace and i dont ever close them manually so i wonder why they go away. time is money and this eats into 10 seconds of productivity... if i could solve this dissappearing act it would be worth the post. Does anyone have any ideas? thank you
  7. i think you should isolate the facts before you assume a problem exists. no need to jumo the gun here!
  8. why was this feature on the palettes removed. it was great for maximizing screen real estate. Will it return to vectorworks anytime soon? when is the next update?
  9. thank you matthew. The points snap. they just dont look like it DURING an opperation. i am releived that its being looked into. thanks again.
  10. i've had that too!!! i've ended up aceptting it on "faith" that points are snapping even though it looks nothing like it on screen while you drag. don''t be led astray. have "faith".
  11. Is there any way to plot all the saved sheets automatically... as opposed to individually which can be a pain.
  12. Aparently I've been hoodwinked with VW 9 "plain". Some of the features I need are no longer included and have moved to VW ARCHITECT. Is there any way to import some of the tools from one to another.... maybe there is a script involved? How 'bout a cost?? Someone shed some light please.
  13. maybe you can draw property bounderies with it.
  14. i see.... so since i have VW "regular" i've lost the tool huh? is there anyway i could get it as a plug-in or a script? am i completly at a loss here? Can i Combine parts of ARCHITECT and LANDMARKS....? help...
  15. Anyone have any luck finding the property bounds tool in VW 9.5.2? I'm using it on a Mac running OS 10.1.5.... It is a handy little tool that allows plotting of surveyer info. I miss that tool. Any help would be appreciated.
