Has anyone else had the frustration of needing to view more than one thing in 3D at a time but not being able to because they are on different layers?
Ex. I use my classes to organize framing vs. facing vs. hardware vs. any electrics on a flat. I then use a different layer for each line set. However, I have had a lot of trouble viewing multiple line sets at the same time in 3d or w/ the fly-over and/or walk-through tools.
Is it possible in Spotlight 9.5 to use the fly-over and walk-through tool (or some other that I dont know of) on multiple layers at a time? If not, might it be a good idea for the next version of VW to have Layers, Classes, and then 2 or 3 more levels? That way you could, using the example above, view multiple line sets while still having the various components of the flats sorted/classified. This way, one could also view platforms and lights in the 3d view in addition to the flats, yet still be able to sort them w/ relative ease.
TIA for any suggestions/solutions.
