Hi Eamon, are you trying to change the fixture names for the instrument key or just for your own self satisfaction in the resource browser?

I've had the same issue, and its with more than just fixtures. A resolution to this would be very good, as it slows the workflow down quite a lot.

Agree with Andy on this, totally awesome idea, and to add it to renderings would be even better, and then to add it to Vision as well, now you're talking!

I tend to use the 2D Polygon tool to make 2d shape's... essentially the same process, and then extrude them. If I'm feeling in the mood... I'll then add the solids together... or just group them. As Alan suggested, take an online course... there are some great ones out there. I always refer back to them if there is something I have forgotten how to do.

Thanks Rob... feel a bit dumb now. I thought I had tried this, but then realised I didn't have the Simplified Class switched on when I went into edit the symbol.

Is there anyway to change the text on a truss symbol when using the simplified view? I am using truss that isn't available in the VW library, so I am using similar items from another manufacturer.
