  1. I have a problem importing autocad files (R14, I believe). They appear to be documents (they have no suffix) and cannot be imported, so I add the suffix dwg. The resulting scale appears 1000 times off, i.e. although I set page units to metres, the dimensions read as if in mm. So I cannot 'fit to window' or print. I import in metres, and have ther no. of units as 1=3'3" and 'fit to page' I have tried numerpous other combinations without success. Any suggestions?
  2. Apparently it is not possible to check building levels from an imported Autocad file. This can be done in Acad using the ID command. Is this facility likely to be added to VW? Ted Walsh

    Levels

Robert, I mean Autocad and "building levels". In this case these levels refer to a proposed motorway. I need to do some photomontage work to assess its visual impact on the landscape.

Is it possible to check levels on an imported dwg with VW? I understand this is possible in ACad by using the ID command. Thanks Ted Walsh
  5. Can 3D polys be exported so as to be available for Microstation users? When I export them, in top view, and re import for checking the Z axis is flat giving a 2D appearance. Any suggestions?
