Thank you Jim W. Restarting the machine somehow solved the problem.

I suddenly started getting this message whenever I tried to use the select tool, pan tool or hit the space bar: "This internal tool could not be selected. The application is missing a necessary resource." Does anyone know what this means? and how I can get the resource back, so I can resume drafting? Thanks so much - -
