  1. I'm having a problem where changing settings in opacity and shadow etc are not affecting the appearance of plants whether changed in the individual object, class or document preferences. A similar issue occurred in an earlier version of VW and tech support had me reset all the settings by deleting a preferences folder. I haven't been using the 2015 version very long and it is up to date. Is there A- a way to have these attributes work again B- a reason this happens so I can avoid this moving forward or is Landmark just extremely buggy? Thanks
  2. Thanks I'm looking into that. But that would only allow for rendering options for non-plant objects? Is there a way to convert plant objects into shapes and then be able to use render options? Thanks
  3. Is there a way to render or apply options other than wireframe & sketch to Top/Plan view? Or is there another way to have plant objects show up in a view other than Top/Plan so that the appearance of plants can be altered/stylized in 2D a top view?
  4. resetting preferences seems to have resolved the issue, at least for now This http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/885/Backing+Up+Vectorworks+Preferences Then delete original file.
  5. After contacting tech support I've started a new file working with less complicated symbols and have had better luck with crashing. However I'm still experiencing slowing down as though I'm working on a less than adequate machine which is not the case. Issue is not file specific - slowing when adjusting text, leader lines and plant groupings, upwards of 30 seconds to perform actions (on small groupings- less than 10).
  6. It is every file. After reading these boards I'm beginning to wonder if my expectations of this programs abilities are just too high.
  7. I'm experiencing slowdown to crashing multiple times/hr noticed more since SP4 update, especially using plant tool. Only working in 2D and with rather simple designs. Have reduce all graphics preferences/settings I have seen suggested in an attempt to increase performance but still experience slowing and crashes when performing simple operations. I'm well above the recommended system requirements with 16G ram, 2G VRAM. Does this not have much affect of performance due to how much memory vectorworks is capable of using? Have gotten in touch with tech support but only receive 1 email response/day for past 3 days. Issue not resolved.
