I have recently switched from VW 9.5.3 to VW10.1. I had started a drawing in VW9.5.3 and upgraded to 10.1 to continue. When I try to Import or draw symbols from another file, for several of the symbols it says that a symbol of that name already exists and I have to rename the imported symbol. In the browser there is no sign of the supposed duplicate symbol names. It appears that there is some symbols hidden. Anyone seen this before or know how to get around it ? Thanks for the suggestion about rounding. You are a life saver, it fixed the problem. I was starting to get desparate, and consider stop using the spotlight aspect of Vectorworks. Thanks, Andy

I posted a message a while ago, and this problem has become a real issue. I am running Vectorworks 9.5.2 running on Mac OSX 10.1.4 on a G3 Powerbook. I am having a problem that after a certain point, some instruments will not allow there colour, channel, purpose etc text to be moved. When this happens, the colour etc all go to the default positions set in the label legend. Some times the issue of lock labels occurs when I assign a new label legend to an instrument. The only fix I have is to delete the instrument and enter all the data again. I have tried deleting all the info in the 'Do Not Edit' box, but this did not work. My label legends only have 3-4 items. Any suggestions ? please !

Will Vectorworks Spotlight be Mac OS X compatible when the standard Vectorworks is released ? Will the Carbonised release be a free upgrade to Vectorworks 9 ( and Spotlight ) users ? Thanks, Andy
