thanks. i am really new to this. sometimes I figure it must be easy, but then I just can't find it. I am trying to align to image to the cube. but it says that as it is not a 3d object, it can't align it. its just a jpeg. do i need to convert the image? When I put to image to a layer plane. it doesn't show in 3D. I can see the bounding box, but no fill.

I am trying to create a 3d model from front and side pictures I took from my foamboard model. So I would like to see the front picture in front view, right picture in right view etc. In order to trace the picture with Nurb curves. I have seen this in a tutorial with a Pantone chair, but just can't find how to set a picture to a particular 3D view. http://www.computerworks.de/service/vectorworks/schulungen/filme/3d-modelling/panton-chair.html Would be really helpful if somebody knows how to do this.
