  1. Once again thank you for your assistance. I have now finished the plan and emailed it to the suppliers who are also running VWSP9. They tell me the gel pull on the plan has blownup and covered the inventory and part of the title block. THe gel pull and equipment list and title block are all on the right hand side running top to bottom. Obviously it does not appear this way on my version of the lighting plan. Any thoughts JM
  2. I had to laugh at that one....They will never hang them in the right place that is the great mystery. I use a bar at the top and bottom of the plan marking out each meter so they can see where the lamps go but I think I do it only to amuse myself. JM
  3. Stacey thank you for your last reply it was concise and very speedy. My next clitch. The circle holding the channel number is a bit small for three digits and the lamp is a bit small for the colour info. I have been unable to resize the circle or make the font smaller. Another prompt and succinct reply is obviously the way to fix this problem. Thank you JM
  4. I am try to draw a lighting bar that is 14630mm long and 48mm round and 6000mm in the air. When I draw it in 2d with the line draw and convert it to a lighting postion I can not set it a height. When I draw in 2d and extrude it to 48mm it is a rectangle not a circular bar and when I convert itto a lighting symbol, it disappears. I could leave it as a 2d symbol but when I set my lamps at 6000mm they will not be attached to the bar and thus the whole point seems somewhat defeated. As most of the shows I work on are in theatres with lighting bars on fly lines I thought VW9 would have bars in the resources. While I am typing away I noticed th elighting symbols is named Imperial does this mean all of my metric plans will not be true to scale? Thanks
  5. Has anyone got old strand workhorses #23, #123, #223 etc for Vectorworks spotlight. Every time I try to convert my dwg drawings to dxf things go pearshaped. I am new to VW spotlight any advice converting symbols from dwg to dxf would be appreciated.
