  1. Here is one for those who do not export data. When using the editable worksheet I group data by position and sort by unit number. I use auto unit number toggle on the lighting position to assign unit numbers. When I go to worksheet the order is not 1, 2 ,3 ,4 etc but 1, 10, 11 up to 19 the 2, 20 etc. I spend more time trying to get the worksheet to play nice than I do completing the important and relevant information. I do not want to export import into and out of Lightwright or excel any other ideas out there? Thanks
  2. Hang about. I did not read your email properly Pat. Yes I have found it under All Menus I kept looking in the View submenu. Cheers for that I have now got my workspace working. Thanks Pat.
  3. The strange thing is when I am in the standard Spotlight workspace Align Layers is an Option under the view tab but it is not listed anywhere including in the View tab when you are in Edit Workspaces. When I am in my new workspace created to run Autoplot then it is not listed under view and still does not appear in edit workspaces. So maybe it is not user editable? I am thinking I may need to learn how to use Stack layers.
  4. I am running 12.5.2 Fundamentals, Spotlight Renderworks on an iMac. In Spotlight workspace under view I have the Align Layers Views option, which I use. I have created a new workspace for Auto Plot, in View menu I no longer have the option to Align layers, there is layer link and layer stack. In the workspace editor I cannot find the Align Layer option there are layer link and stack layer options but not align. I use the align when I change my standard view to check things. I am not familiar with link and stack layer options. Although I find the link frustrating as it limits what can be switched on and off at whim. Why is the Align layer views available in one workspace but not the other and why can I not add it into any workspace that I edit? Thank you in advance for any advice, clarification and support.
  5. Thanks Kevin. Was in active class only and had turned "none " off for renders. As always quick and efficient answers. Cheers.
  6. Using a mac running 12.5.1 then updated to 12.5.2. I have updated to stop problem but it has not helped. When I draw a lighting position (metric 15m) using lighting position insert. Had some problems with it disappearing but eventually it stayed on the drawing. When I try and drop a light on to the bar using lantern insert tool when I click off both the light and lighting position vanish. This also happens when I put the light anywhere. Just tried using light position and a selecon lamp sort of worked but once clicked away it is no longer selectable. Any ideas?
  7. I am having some issues controling the font (size and format) of my focus point info and lighting position names. On my plan they are too big, too bold and too much. Where do I have control of the font type, size and format? Cheers,
  8. Thanks for the info. Complicated but I will give it a whirl. Drawing an arrow and dropping it into each light is ok but on printing it looks like a blob. I will try your way. Cheers
  9. I am wanting to include a notation in my label legend that will show the rotation of the par lamp. Following USITT publication on luminaire notation a short line with arrows at each end would be ideal. (http://www.usitt.org/standards/UsittRP-2v4.html). Any ideas How to put that into the legend or should I draw it in to each lamp on the plan. Thanks
  10. So to save time I drew part of the plan Stage Left side of Lx1 then I copied it and placed in position for Lx2, then added some par64s and once again copied and pasted it for Lx3. Then did the whole process over again for Stage Right (a duplicate and mirror function would be appreciated in SP10). Now I am filling in the blanks Channel Colour etc. However all of the Strand 240v 1.2Kw Fresnels change to a rectangle when I add channel or colour but only on the Stage left side, that includes the original from which all were copied. Now the SR side was done exactly the same and does not suffer from this problem nor do any of the Altman MFL par64 or Strand Lekolites 30'. As you can imagine this makes my time saving method pointless as I am yet to work out how to stop them from turning into little rectangles. Look forward to you solution
  11. Ok from now on I will think harder before I type. Set print to one page rescaled to 1:80 and there it is. Not a single button but just as easy.
  12. I have drawn a plan at 1:50 to be printed on A2 but I would like to print out copy at home on A3. Is there a feature that will allow me to have the plan print out on an A3 piece of paper thus dropping the scale or print to fit paper? Thanks
  13. Kevin, Thank you for that. It is always so easy when you explain it ..
  14. When I say find I have searcehed in Containers, Label Legend, and Theatres and search the file for the Key so as I can edit it.. If I click on the key on the plan I can move the block around but not edit what is inside. The OI allows me to resize the block but there is nothing there about text wrapping. So obviously I am looking at the wrong thing. What, Where is enter the key group ??
  15. Kevin, Thanks fo rthe reply but I am unsure what it means exactly. When I click on the key in the plan it is one block. I can not click on and then alter the text as it does not highlight seperately from the key block. I have tried to "find" the kry to edit it off of the plan but can not. Thanks
