[VW 15 Crashing when I "publish"]

I am having the same problem. It has happen from the start of installing VW 15. We are not upgrading to Yosemite as well due to not supporting current printers. I also noticed just the print dialog box seems to be very slow with this version.

I just opened a blank drawing & created 2 sheet layers. I exported to PDF with no problem or lag time. I would say 99% of my files are created from a template made a few versions back. I am think that maybe if I copy all my template info into a new VW 15 file it will solve most of the problems. I am going to do a test on that.

when I try to use the publish command VW is crashing. For example in the publish dialog box I want to print multiple sheet layers. I change from PDF to print in the "Add new item as" drop down menu, VW crashes every time. I like this tool but is getting very frustrating.

Also I have noticed that my print dialog boxes are running very slow in VW 15 compared to VW 14. I have change anything on my system. I am not upgrading to Yosemite because it doesn't support any of my printers.

Any thoughts?

I was hitting the option but not selecting any of the sheets I added to print. That is nothing was happening when I hit the options. Thanks so much Jim! I knew there was away.

I would line to be able to hide the edge of the ceiling grid object in plan. The hide edge mode in the polyline edit doesn't work on a ceiling grid object. It would be nice if the edge has independent control from the actual lines that represent the grid.

The first thing I tried was to use the hide edges mode in the polyline edit mode but it doesn't seem to work once the polyline is a ceiling grid object. If I set the line fill to none all my "grid lines" disappear too, not just the ceiling grid edge. I guess I will add this to the wish list. Thanks for your help!

Is there a way to hide the edge of the ceiling grid object in plan? Occasional we show new grid that is an extension of existing grid & I don't want the edge of the ceiling grid to show. My current work around is to covert to a group & delete lines. I would prefer not to have to do that.

YES! That was the problem. I usually right click to enter the Design Layer rather that double click so I don't see the dialog box. Thanks for the help!

I have notices a problem since running the service pack 4. When I edit the design layer through the viewport the little box in the upper right hand corner that lets you return to the viewport is occasionally not showing up. I restart VW & it will work a few times then stop again. This is very annoying since it is the quickest & most used way that I use to return back to the sheet layer. No one else in the office seem to have noticed this going on in their VW.

I have a VW file that I have imported a PDF in to draw over & use as a background in my drawing. When I export to PDF from the VW file the original PDF that is in the VW file appears upside down. This is a fairly new occurrence but has happened on many occasions with different files. If I print to PDF it come out fine. Any one know of a reason that would make this happen? It is just a little annoying.

Is there a reason why text styles only show up in the Resource Browser when the drawing is open & not when I am just "browsing a document"?

I occasionally have a problem editing groups in viewports when I am in the annotation mode. It doesn't happen all the time. Usually the only fix is to restart my computer. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I know! But when you have A LOT to text boxes that you would like to be 1 & you don't want to have to re-type or cut & paste a lot it would be nice to have 1 command to do it all!

[Font Off-center in Text Boxes]

I am having trouble with the font we use in our office being off-center in all text boxes in VW. It is a font we purchased years ago from Adobe, Graphite Std Font Family. It seams to be fine in all other software.

I have talked to Adobe and all they said to do is reinstall it. Didn't work.

Any ideas on how to fix it?

I have another questions. Is there a way to "subtract" a space inside of the grid to show no grid?

My problem: I have a office space where all the walls go to the ceiling but the conference room which is in the middle of the plan. I want a separate grid in this room.

Just learning this tool & need some help. Is there a way to adjust where the grid is inside the polyline of the ceiling grid tool? I want to get rid of the small piece grid it makes.
