  1. Kevin, Exactly right, many thanks. I discovered that all the ACAD labels were labelled 'Callout 1',2,3..... Once deleted or renamed the problem was solved. Thanks again Ted
  2. Jeffrey, Thanks but problem arises when I use the Callout tool. If I understand Mike correctly the error message is telling me that the word 'callout' is somewhere in that drawing file so I need to rename it, but I cannot find anything with that name. The problem may be because I exported the file as a dwg, emailed it to a ACAD colleague who emailed it back (as a dwg) with some work added. It was then that the problem arose. Even by deleting all of the classes (except none and dimension) the callout tool would still not work! TW
  3. Many thanks. Could not locate any PIO labelled "callout" but by selecting and pasting the drawing as a new file I sorted out the problem. TW
  4. I can see from other posts that people do have problems with the call-out tool. Mine is a little different. In some, but not all drawings, I get an error message when I attempt to label with the callout tool; An attempt to define a Plug-in Object named "Callout" failed because Symbol Definition with that name already exists in the current document. The entire operation is cancel Any suggestions welcome. Thanks
  5. Line wights checked. Exporting from VW2008 to DWG 2007/8 Have sent a couple of files privately, would be interested in your comments. Thanks
  6. Thanks but I have used eDrawings which confirms wrong line colours and no fills!
  7. I frequently export .vwx files as DWGs and import them back to VW to check that they have translated properly. Unfortunately line colours change and polygon fills disappear. Is this normal?? Any suggested fixes welcome. TW
  8. Happy New Year to all! I upgraded to Snow Leopard recently and have discovered that neither the scale bar nor the north arrow work. Anyone had this problem? (Not sure it has anything to do with the upgrade.) Also, does anyone know if it is possible to snap a 2D polygon to an existing vector line beneath. I am tracing field patterns from an existing vector map and want to make sure that my tracing is as exact as possible. Am using VW 2008. Any words of wisdom much appreciated. TW
