I have been shopping for CAD programs that have the ability to do some animation. I was hoping to create a simulation of a drama before the design is finalized. I have no experience with Vectorworks, but have been considering it.
Specifically, I would like the ability to move an actor or actors on stage, lower curtains, and move set pieces along with an integrated sound track. Is this possible with Spotlight? There are plenty of animation packages out there, but really like the idea of using a product that can be integrated with the work of creating the lighting design.
I don't think the actors would need to be individually animated, so they would basically be painted flats, treated exactly like a moving set.
