PDF Writer?

jan15

Question

There are a number of PDF creatoers our there already.

Adobe Distiller is the true PDF writer.

OS 10 has a built in PDF writer that writes more an image like PDF than a true PDF.

Along with that, there are a number of free or inexpensive downloadable PDF writers on the internet. You can search cnet.com for these programs.

Please note, we only test with Adobe Distiller. The others are to be used at your own risk. We cannot guarantee the output of any of the downloadable ones from the internet.

A PDF writer for VectorWorks would be useful for sharing drawings with others.

Some professionals are too lazy to download and install the VectorWorks Viewer, and many clients are unable to do so. It would be nice to be able to email them a file they can look at on screen.

And I just read - at http://216.239.33.100/search?q=cache:akM9X6ESbWIC:www.genericcadd.com/cad2pdf2.pdf+pdf+writer+2000&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 - that some people are sending PDF files to blueprinters for plotting. Maybe this would reduce the problems that we find in printing the same file from a different machine?
