  1. Is there a way to list the classes and layers in a file using VW8.5.2? I'm on Mac OS 9.1.
  2. Mac OS X has just been released. We just purched an upgrade to Architect 9, but it has not arrived yet. Is Architect 9 currently compatible with and optimized (carbonized) for OS X? If not, when will it be?

  4. I have a very annoying problem which I wonder if others have. When using VectorWorks with computers that have Factor Installed ATI cards, and using 21" ViewSonic monitors, we get annoying dotted lines that extend to infinity on our screens. It gets even worse on a couple of computers (the older ones) and the screen starts to turn into a collage of various colors. The only thing that seems to fix this is to change the resolution to 256 colors---which we really prefer not to do. I have turned off various ati extensions as suggested with similar issues in the "Video Card Woes" discussion, but no success. The thing that really stumps me---the one computer this does not occur on is the oldest, and the only one with a separate pci card video card {PM 7300-200 (96meg) w/ ATI exlaim 3d (8meg) and Aplle 17" display}. Computers that have a problem are: G3-233 (288 meg) w/ factory ATI card (6meg), G3-350 (384meg) w/ factory ATI rage 128 card (16meg), G4-400 (256meg) w/ factory ATI rage 128 card (16meg). Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I try to install the ATI software that came with th PCI card on all other computers?
  5. Is there a way to connect 2 lines together with the chamfer tool and set the chamfer to 0? It is a pain to have to trim lor extend ines one by one so they connect with each other when you could do it with one simple click,
  6. IS THERE A WAY TO CLIP A LAYER LINK---ALA AUTOCAD XCLIP...SO THAT ONE CAN DO LARGE SCALE PLANS AND REFERENCE THEM BACK TO THE BASE PLAN?
  7. Please, please please update the Workgroup Refencing so it works more like AutoCad References and is able to support viewports, reference clipping etc. Workgroup Referencing as it stands now is a poor attempt, and if it is not improved, we may be forced to look at other software.
  8. Does VW have a stretch command that lets you marquee a group a group of object and stretch them a cetain distance?---Most programs I have used have this feature
  9. Does anyone know when the next VW release will be? We are frustrated dealing with a bunch of bugs in the present version. In particular, workgroup referencing is horendous compared to xref in AutoCAD. The "shifting" issue with referencing when changing the print area is ridicululous. It wastes so much time to close a file after you print it at half scale or on 8 1/2 x11, just because you fear the references might shift.
