  1. So what you are saying it that the new renderworks is fualty and that 12.5(my previous Ver.) was correct?

Similar to my other post where VW are releasing new versions when the older or current has not been fixed, now they make them fualy too

  2. Thanks Alot Vincent

Renderworks has always been really bad with memory since I started in VW10.

I make sure to Save before every Render I do and if a couple has been done I restart to clear the virtual Memory to be sure.

I have had pleanty threads regarding this on here.

The problem I see is that new versions are made/sold before the problems are sorted out of the previous version, so the problem persists and gets worse.

  3. Thanks Vincent

Where do you set to save auto, mine has a pop up to save and irrittating as commands use does not over ride it.

Im on SP2 too, when I do not save every 15min it is more likely to crash even if I did not draw intence stuff. Will have a dbl check if file had an import from acad.

  4. I have had a similar problem there C

I did ask on here but no reply...

Comes down to a drawing being corrupt. so start a new one after you have shut down and let your computer cool abit.

I found that when the CPU and the other internals get to hot from working hard, VW gets problems with it's processing and goes AWOL.

So no more Out of Memory msg, just (a problem cuased the program to stop working....)

2012 is not coping with itself - where it is made to create big files and work on multiple levels it can't handle the output it has produced.

Like it is Exporting PDF files of +/-15MB but battles to render them without crashing.

Good luck and hope you come right before deadline.

    Keep Well

  5. AWESOMENESS and Thank You Mr Cipes. *

I did not know about this new tool. Exactly what I need to use for these "light boxes" I'm having on stage. Could work for lighting up the truss yes.

Mmm... now we can do a scene from Star Wars

*The Force is strong with this one, Yes.

  6. OK I'll be the one to ask the dumb question here:

    What is a Line Light?

I need to create some truss and some ligt boxes on stage

I'm would like the fall offs and not just a texture set to glow.

    Thanks

  7. Good day All

a Friend of mine has this Crazy concept.

    To have a Live-feed Camera.

So the view that the Renderworks Camera gives you to have it projected on a screen.

He mentioned that he wants to avoid having to use textures from the Resorce Browser, so all I can think is he wants to do a walkthrough of some sort with that view projected on the screen.

I know you would be able to play a Mpeg or similar vid file on the screens whilst having the walk through, but not a view of the actuall WT on screen.

What might be possible is if 2 camera's are used.

One infront doing a close up of lets say the lead singer on stage, projected on the screens and a second camera with the full stage in view, screens included

Is this in any way possible with the programs out there?

    Thanks for any comments

  8. Thanks Horst

That would be the right way of doing it if you did not know any of the settings.

As Mentioned above I would like a middle ground between the 2 render Styles, reason is both have good and bad qualities so I would like to combine the effect.

I have now set all to High

    Ambient Info to Off

    Indirect Lighting setting to None

    Emitter = 100%

    Temperature @ Indoor3400K

    All other Options are selected.

My scene is a Layher Scaff Stage with LEDscreen structures.

I have created a Tress Background texture on a extrude with transparent mask.

The Realistic Final blured that edge very good but had to much light happing and could not duplicate the light&shadows FQR had with HDRI Sky39 did. The FQR had a distinctive line/edge on that trees texture that make it look like it is stuck on.

    Hope this makes sence.

These settings have duplicatied the light/shadow as in FQR but I still sit with that edge...

So these be the settings for FQR then.

Wondering what can be done to soften texture edge of the masking like it is done when you apply Realistic Final

I will need to convert the renders before posting them here as they are Exported to PDF @ 300dpi and are +/- 14Mb each.

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Here are the images regarding the tree background

    Please advise

I did finally use Custom Renderworks with a full Black background with Lit Fog @ 35% Smooth and the Mostly Sunny HDRI, but using the Lighting from the HDRI Sky39

All options selected, Image exposure = 100%, All Quality set to High, Max Reflections = 3.

Lighting Options : Indirect Lighting = None, Ambient Info = OFF, Emitter Brightness = 100%, Color Temp = 2800K, Enviroment Light from other background - Sky-39

  9. Good day

Not sure I can be much help, but to get a better picture of what you are trying to do you mean to say that you elimenate random tiles of a combined LED screen setup?

  10. What seems to be the problem?

It gives me this error(att) when I want to open a file from my folders, any file.

Yesterday it was working fine, today It has crashed 3 times in 1 hour from starting to work.

Now it also crashes when switching between drawings. WTF!?!?

  11. Thanks Tamsin - found it.

    Thanks for the info Horst.

I have noticed this and normally have 3 Styles in my Browser.

I do not have access to YouTube, but I think this tread will be very helpful for others not knowing and new users to understand whats cooking.

Will post renders when I can
