It's funny. I want a hand lettered font for my VW drawings. I can't seem to find another font that looks as true to my ACAD font I use. All I'm able to find looks like simulated versions that aren't quite right. So at the very least, I am very particular about my computer generated hand lettering.

They showed up after restart of cpu.

Ok, so I copy/ pasted a couple of ttf fonts in my windows/fonts folder. Shouldn't they show up as selections in the font list in VW?

I like the graphite. It doesn't seem to be availble with VW In ACAD I used a SHX font called ARCHT. Too bad I can't bring it into VW

I guess I should describe what I am doing I imported a PDF floor plan to a layer I created to have it reside in. Then I traced over the PDF plan with my selected wall types. I forgot to change the active layer to the apprpriate model floor plan and drew it on the layer I created for the PDF floor plan to reside on. Now I try to cut and paste the only VW walls and move them to my desired mod floor plan worksheet. When I do this it shows up as a elevation of the floor plan. Why?

Gerrit Could you elaborate? I'm new to VW and so far I really think it could really improve my practice. Is OIP the "object layer palette"?

If I draw a floor plan on the wrong layer, what is the easiest way to put it on the desired layer. Copy/paste doesn't seem to work

I recently purchased a copy of ARCHITECT 12.5. Why did I recieve two text manuals. Fundamentals and DESIGN series. Did they do away with the ARCHITECT manual? This is something that has confused me about the software are the half dozen different titles Are they all different? Is Fundamentals a stand alone program?

Just received my copy of VW 12 and am really excited to get up and running. Mostly, just trying get a handle on the terminology is where I am. I have the design series guide and fundamentals guide. And most likely will have to purchase some tutorial of a step by step setup of a sample project to get going. Today, In the meantime I would like to import my title block and border from acad to vw. Not sure which layer it should be placed. I'm assuming the sheet layer for each sheet. But I can't seem to get it to display with the corresponding work of the design layer. For instance foundation model and foundation sheet

I looking to purchase VW 12 latest version. Is a user manual supplied with it or is it to be purchased separately ?

It's a font called ARCHT. I've been using it for years not really sure where I got it. How can I attach an example? Also, with dimensions is there a way to customize the architect "tick" dimension. I like a heavier "tick"

Well, I don't the font will work cause it is a SHX font. I get a ERROR message when I try to install it into Windows font file
