  2. Hi. Back in Jan 02, Katie posted a workaround for the program crashing/freezing caused by hitting the scale button w/in the layer dialogue box - see snipped portion below.

I'm having a similar problem, but the workaround doesn't seem to help. I'm randomly experiencing a black-screen freeze when i click the scale button. i've tried changing the default printer as suggested, and even alternating the chosen printer in the Print Setup to no avail. sometimes, she works; sometimes she grins black death. ...it's gotten to the point that my boss has given me an ultimatum to either find a solution w/in VW or find a more reliable software for presentations.

i'd appreciate any helpful input - from nma or otherwise. our office is busy enough right now. we don't need the additional frustrations of fighting unreliable tools or the learning curves associated w/ adapting to new ones.

<<BEGIN SNIP>>posted 01-15-2002 11:49 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------------When going to the Layer Scale dialogue the program crashes with a internal page fault error. You should go into printer settings and choose a different printer as your default. You may have a conflict with the current printer driver which is causing the the crash.

For Windows go to the start menu > Settings > Printers and change the default by right-clicking on another printer.

For Mac go to the apple icon and select the chooser > now select another printer as your default.--------------------KatieTechnical Support SpecialistNemetschek North America<<END SNIP>>
