    Technical Functionality changes in 2009

There are some changes in where and how 2009 stores user information/preferences.

    Automatic Updates

2009 is capable of automatically checking for updates, and will display a dialogue box in the application when it finds that an update has been released, leading the user right to the download location.

    Custom Workspaces

2009 no longer saves a copy of the workspace to the support folder unless the user actually makes customizations to the workspace.

Additionally, 'Window > Palettes > Save Palette Location' will also cause a saved copy of the workspace to be placed in this folder, and will save the palette locations. If the user does not choose this option, then upon restarting Vectorworks, their palettes will return to their default locations.
