Landmark Essentials SeminarPlease note, we offer this seminar at three different times, make sure to select your preferred time during registration. If you are located in Australia, these seminars will take place one day later than the date listed.
This introductory seminar provides a basic overview of the capabilities, concepts, resources, services, and benefits available for the Vectorworks Landmark user to get started. This session explains the user interface and demonstrates how to use tools and menu commands to create and convert objects. Learn about classes, design layers, viewports, renderings, and sheet layers to present and annotate drawings and publish your work.
Learning Objectives:
1. Familiarize yourself with the Vectorworks Landmark user interface.2. Understand the capabilities of Vectorworks Landmark.3. Get an overview and demonstration of different Landmark design tools.4. Understand file organizational concepts.5. Learn about the different design and learning resources that are available.Register

Using the Plant Tool - Coffee BreakDescription:
Join us as we take a look at the Plant Tool.We will look at the tools of various plant placement modes along with plant styles in the Vectorworks libraries and how we can create our own plant.
Learning Objectives:
Go through the plant placement modes of the plant tool. Explore the Vectorworks plant libraries. Create your own plant including the 2D graphics and add an image prop to represent the 3D graphics.

The Power of 3D ModelingDescription:
Visualizations are an integral facet of landscape design. Everyone has a different approach, from continuing to embrace the more time-intensive hand-drawn methods, while others utilize CAD paired with 3D modeling and image-editing technology. Although each of these are successful to some degree - revisions are inevitable, and the time it takes to reconstruct these illustrations in multiple software’s can be greatly reduced by fine-tuning the design in a single application.Join us to witness the power and efficiencies gained by 3D modeling in Vectorworks Landmark and gain an understanding of how to build various features found on a proposed site while using a combination of landscape-specific tools and commonly used 3D modeling processes. Communication is essential for the success of any project, and the mention of “revisions” shouldn’t cause fear of going over budget.
Learning Objectives:
Understand the benefits of using landscape-specific tools during your 3D modeling workflow. Learn and master commonly used 3D modeling processes to create custom objects. Explore how designers communicate with clients and contractors in a more immersive way using virtual reality with the Vectorworks Nomad application and/or Web View. Recognize the main benefit of reducing the revision challenges by working in a single file through modeling and rendering. Register
