VECTORWORKS SPOTLIGHT VIRTUAL TRAINING

Virtual training offers the convenience of attending a class led by an industry expert from your own home or office. The content of this virtual, live class will be delivered in a lecture format.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The Vectorworks Spotlight Virtual Training class explores the workflow of creating a small corporate event. Starting with a blank file, the course covers best practices for organizing a document and creating the venue. It also includes instruction on how to incorporate seating layouts, video screens, speakers, light positions, lighting devices, and focus points, create presentation views, and extract data from objects into worksheets. If you choose to follow along on your own computer, progression files will be provided, so you can track the instructor’s keystrokes throughout the seminar.

OVERALL LEARNING GOALS
Create a small corporate event while learning about Layer and Class organization, importing DWG files, referencing data from other Vectorworks documents, drawing faster and more accurately, and utilizing the built-in, industry-specific tools and commands.
PREREQUISITES
Attendees must have completed the Core Concepts Training Class or have an intermediate to advanced knowledge of 3D workflows. They should also understand the listed tools, palettes, and workspace environment in Vectorworks software. This includes drawing organization structures such as layers, classes, sheet layers, and viewports, along with understanding the purpose of the following Vectorworks software palettes: Object Info palette, Basic palette, Attributes palette, Resource Browser, View bar, and the use of the heads-up display (i.e., Floating Data Display bar).
MEET THE TRAINER
Donald Ward is a Vectorworks expert and lead trainer at Vectorworks, Inc. He has been with Vectorworks, Inc. for ten years, initially as a senior technical support specialist working directly with Vectorworks customers. Since 2007, he has been conducting Vectorworks classroom and online training courses at all levels. He has also presented at numerous industry events including LDI and ASLA annual conventions. In addition, Don supports the company’s U.S. sales and marketing initiatives by working with the user group community and by providing customized, on-site team training for Vectorworks clients.
