chaz
If I turn on antialiasing (Custom RenderWorks options) I lose transparency, both in objects and in props. Using version 10 on Mac G4 OS 9.2.2 (I think I tried it in X and still had this problem) with 256+ megs of RAM allocated (1GB total RAM). I've been rendering out with antialiasing off and double the size I need so I can shrink it down. Quote Link to comment
Guest
You have have anti-aliasing turned on with Textures AND transparency turned on. There is a bug in the render engine we build off of with anti-aliasing an image based texture with a transparent enabled shader and anti-aliasing. If your prop has transparency in it, then you will not be able to render in FQ RW or C RW with AA and Transparency turned on. LW is working on addressing this problem within in their rendering package. We will be working around this problem in an upcoming release until LW fixes the problem. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted January 31, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 31, 2003 Hello Chaz: Is raytracing enabled? If it is, you need to set the recursion level to at least 3 or more, or the rays won't make it through your transparent objects so you can see the underlying objects. Try 5. Quote Link to comment
