Peter van der Elst
I'm looking for a good water texture. I tried to make one with mirror and bump, but the results where never satisfying (is this english?). If anyone could help me? Thanks OS X 10.2.3 VW 9.5.3 Quote Link to comment
MikeB
Try using the cloud shader with some glass reflectivity Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted January 14, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 14, 2003 The refraction parameter for the reflectivity shaders that have one is arranged so that the refraction goes from nothing on the left to diamond on the right. Glass is about half way, water would be about 1/4 of the way, so at about 25% you would get a refractivity like water. HTH, Quote Link to comment
Yovav
Try to add to Mike and Dave settings transparency also. I'm using the "plain transparency" set to middle. It gives the water more realistic quality - the mirroring of other objects is less dramatic, and you can feel better the "depth" of the pool. Quote Link to comment
Peter van der Elst
Thanks for all the replies so far. I'm going to try it all out. Maybe I can post some results. Quote Link to comment
