Guest
Right click on the texture or other resource you want to edit, and select Edit. On a Mac, either right click if you have the luxury of a two button mouse, or hold down the ctrl key and click over the resource. This is also how to import resources into the drawing. welshpe
Katie; I tried this on VW 10.0.1 on PC and don't get an "EDIT" option. The only options are: View As Show Object Types Find Resources on Disk New Resources in ... Apply Import Am I missing something? Quote Link to comment
Guest
You need to have your working document selected in the active document drop down (the drop down box at the top of the RB that has a VW file icon to the left of it). Then you can right click and edit the texture. You cannot edit a texture while in the texture file in the RB unless this is the active document in the application window. You can only import them from there. Quote Link to comment
welshpe
Thanks Katie that gets me to the edit option. It doesn't let me edit the color of a texture. Do you need to go outside of VW to edit colors of the textures? Quote Link to comment
Guest
In the textures dialog box, the Color Shader - Click on Edit. This is where you can change the color or textures. Quote Link to comment
welshpe
Under COLOR in the texture dialog box is -Image Color*- When I choose edit, a dialog comes up - Edit Image Color-, the only option is to -Change Image- which opens a dialog that only allows me to change to another image in the document or import a new image, no option to change the color! MikeB
You can set up your texture to use a filtered image, this lets you "tint" the texture. But to edit the origional image file, you need to have the origional image file, edit in Photoshop, or something, and then reapply the image to the texture Good Luck Quote Link to comment
