Batch rendering...

You send files to the batch renderer - probably when you go home.

When you come back, the files are rendered as images in a specified folder.

It's a way around getting multiple files to render at one given time.

It may be something that can be done while at lunch. However, in some cases it may be something that will be done in the evenings.

This is out the manual -

"A batch job can now be specified to render a sequence of views with different export options when the computer is unattended."
