Josh Schulman
I just "upgraded" my computer from 9.2 to 10.2 and when I did so Vectorworks lost the fact that I also have Renderworks installed on it. If this is any help Vectorworks also asked me for my registration number (which I gave it) and has lost all of my old preferences, like customized tools. Any thoughts? Josh. Quote Link to comment
Matthew Giampapa
Josh, VectorWorks "forgetting" its serial number is quite normal. The program stores it's serial numbers in it's preferences file. Now that you are running 10.2, you effectivly have a new system folder / preferences folder. Since VectorWorks didn't find a prefs file in ~/Library/Preferences, it asked you for the numbers again and created a new one in the new OS X location. As for Renderworks going missing, it sounds like you moved the "RenderWorks Library" file out of the VectorWorks folder. Even though it looks like an extension, it does not belong in the extensions folder. It should be in the same folder as VectorWorks. (If you can't find where you moved it, just reinstall VectorWorks and RenderWorks from your CD.) Quote Link to comment
