simtav
Does anyone know if it is possible to render (or even colour) the eaves / barge-boards of a roof? The only options I can find are for the roof-face & dormer-ends, so I end up with a white band around the base of the roof structure. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Simtav, As far as I know the only way to do what you want is to create 3D polygons, colored any way you want, to be the fascia & barges. It takes some time but the result is good. PLC Quote Link to comment
simtav
Thanks, I thought that might be the case, one for the wish list then. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
YES! That and auto-generation of corner trim would be ENORMOUS time savers. PLC :-) Quote Link to comment
Kim
You can colour the eaves easily. In the class list , edit the class your roof is in. I usually call this something like 'RoofSurface' or whatever, set the colour in the left side of the screen and click the 'use at creation' box. Make sure your roof or roof planes have the texturing set to 'class texture' in the IO palette and you should be away laughing. If you want to change the colour open 'classes' then edit 'RoofSurface' class and change the colour. The surface of the roof still uses the texture you set. Quote Link to comment
