Abydo
Does QuickDraw 3D for Vectorworks 8.5.2 work only on OS's higher than 8.5?, I am confused as to why this view option is nonexistent on my mac at work, and present on others. The only difference is the OS. Does that play a role? Or am i missing something else, if so what do I do to get this option in my lists of views? Quote Link to comment
Matthew Giampapa
QuickDraw does work on MacOS 9, but only with VectorWorks version 8.x. In VectorWorks 9 we dropped support for QuickDraw 3D and now use OpenGL for realtime 3D rendering. Check to see if your Mac at work has QuickTime 5 installed. Since Apple is now pushing OpenGL instead of QuickDraw 3D, it is no longer a default component. You can still install it under QuickTime 5, but you have to tell it to do a custom install. Abydo
Well I have Quicktime 5, but I'm not sure if Vectorworks recognizes it, and still does not allow for the QuickDraw 3D option. This mac is running OS 8.6, does this make any type of difference? Quote Link to comment
Abydo
Thank you very much, I managed to get QuickDraw 3D up and running, I didn't have all of the right files in my extension folder, and I visited the QuickTime site and downloaded all that I needed, Again Thank you. Quote Link to comment
