jmhanby
Is there a setting so I can see the different line weights on the screen? Right now I have to print to pdf to see the line weights to make corrections in the file. Quote Link to comment
markdd
Yes. Zoom Line Thickness in Vectorworks Prefs or from the Quick preferences bar. Edited July 6, 2022 by markdd 1 Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
But there are limitations based on pixel size of your monitor. On a monitor with 100 dpi (I know there are lots of monitors with high resolution than that now, but the math is easy), a single pixel is about 10 mil. So any line less than about 15 mil will be drawn as a single pixel and you won't be able to tell the difference at 100% scale. Anything between 15 and 25 will be 2 pixels, etc. Zoom out and even thicker lines will blend together. Zoom in and you will see more differentiation. And let's not start on Retina displays. Most of them are being run at far less than the true resolution so pixel blending for smoother edges can be accomplished. Quote Link to comment
