Is it possible to apply textures to the Curtain Object, Groups or Symbols

Groups or symbols as a whole? Not really, but you can certainly texture the objects which make up the group or symbol.

Select the group on the drawing, and use the edit group command in the organize menu. Change anything you need to and click the done/exit button.

For a symbol, select the symbol in the resource pallet in your current document and click the edit button. Edit the 3D component, make your changes and your done. (Note, you can only edit symbols in a document you have open, so if you want to change a library file you will first have to open it via the file menu)

Curtains are a bit more complex, they are a kind of plug-in objects and not subject to the same rules. To add a texture here, you need to ungroup the curtain back into a multiple extrude. Simple select it, and use the ungroup command.
