ScottN
Has anyone had any success installing and using the cove.tool plugin? Running Vectorworks 2021 (SP5) on Mac OS Monterey 12.4, and going through the installation process brings up a dialogue window that says Python Module requests cannot be installed. Going through the Terminal to update and install Python, PIP, and reinstalling VW does not change the outcome. Interestingly, another workstation in our office running VW 2021 (SP2) on Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6 installed the plug in with no issues. Actually using the plug in is somewhat cumbersome at this point, but very promising. Thoughts? 1 Quote Link to comment

ScottN
Hi Marissa, So cove.tool is a web based energy modeller that allows you to import your building from a number of 3D modelling apps (SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, etc) including Vectorworks, to analyze performance of a number of metrics - climate, glare , shadow, energy & water use, embodied carbon, emissions, etc. Their Vectorworks plugin can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/y9gdxnax6u88f4b/Covetool Plugin Installment.vwx?dl=0 - it contains a file that is a wrapped Marionette network containing the code for the plugin. There is a nice installation guide and short tutorial here: https://help.covetool.com/en/articles/5063718-vectorworks-plugin-workflow As I mentioned above, there seems to be a hiccup after the install when it tries to install the Python modules. Any help would be most welcome. This tool looks promising and powerful if we can get it to work as painlessly as possible! 1 Quote Link to comment
ScottN
Looks like a new plugin has just been released that is compatible with SP5. Modules now install correctly. 1 Quote Link to comment
