Turning off trim class for door/window in a section viewport

Rick Chabot2

Question

I am currently working on a project where I use a custom casing for some doors. I don't want the custom profile to show up in plan viewport as it gets a little messy with the scales I am using and I don't like how it presents. So I also turned on the default interior/exterior door trim on the door and set the trim class to a different class than that of the whole door (clicking on Settings on the OIP and using the slide downs in 2D Visualization and Class tabs). This allowed me to hide the profile in plan view and show it in a perspective viewport but it is still showing the default trim that comes with the door in a section viewport even though I have turned off its class (I want the custom profile to show in the section and perspective viewports).

(I have attached some pictures of each viewport labeled to show what I mean as well as screenshots of where I changed the exterior/interior trim)

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks so much!

Can you confirm that you are turning on/off the appropriate classes in the Class structure of the viewport? Perhaps post a wall with an offending door ?

I worked when I first went into the file but I wanted to change the 3D conversion resolution to high to try and make the curves look better and the section reverted back to what it was doing before. I also reloaded the file, didn't change anything in it and just hit update button on the section viewport and it reverted back to what it was doing before. I also tried setting the factory casing to have 0 opacity using the class overrides of the section viewport but that didn't work either. Is this a setting within my vectorworks?
