mlau
I have a 3d model of a building in VW 12.0.1. I need to generate exterior elevations but now realize that I cannot adjust the line weight of the 3d objects when in 3d views. Do elevations have to be created in 2d to adjust line weight? The challenge I am having is that I would like to use the 3d model to generate elevations, but I also need to adjust line weight. For example I would like use dashed lines for foundation walls in elevation view. VW 12.0.1 Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
if you use viewports to make your elevations, then you can edit the lineweights of the classes to adjust the line weights and line styles. So the things that you need to adjust need to have a class assigned to them. A detailed example of this and how to make the corrections in is my Essential Manual.. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
Or even better, use Section viewports to show the land as well... Quote Link to comment
msclark
Jonathan, do you mean you can have a seperate lineweight assignment for plans and then for each viewport? That would be the only way to generate proper drawings, and would be great if possible...? Thanks, Matt Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
yes, you can have a separate assignment in each viewport, you need to have classes for each part that you want to control separately. Quote Link to comment
