Main Menu on a Smaller Screen

trashcan

Question

Working on my laptop, my menu is a lot smaller:

I've figured out that if I hold control my quick prefs come up:

But things like projection are missing still (I.e., ortho vs perspective). I know I can find this in the view menu but the missing them here. Is there a way to display the missing stuff?

Brain foggy

Answering here so someone can prove me wrong. 😉

I don't think there is a way to do what you want. It deserves to be a separate post in the wish list forum though.

I think the best option (maybe only option) is to edit your View menu and Mode Bar to that it only has your most used items and displays ok (it will always be crowded) on your laptop monitor.  When you move back to the external monitor and widen the window the icons will space out and grow making them easier to use.

Once again I hope I'm wrong.

*waves hand* These are not the answers you're looking for...

Uncheck all the Zoom / Fit stuff that you use keyboard shortcuts for.

Uncheck Wireframe options.

Add Auto-Hide Docked Palettes to the doc context clicks in your workspace (screenshots below).

There are also some other palette settings that you might find more... palatable.
