Cbeckwith
Is there a problem with the Scaling Object feature? I select everything I want to scale then select Scale Objects, for example from 1.0 to O.75 Nothing happens, shouldn't this either scale up or down on command? I would like to get this fixed once and forever. Thanks, Clois Quote Link to comment
TBrown
Is the object you are trying to scale a symbol or plug-in object?. If so you need to select "edit symbol" from the MODIFY pull down menu and change it's size there. Quote Link to comment
Cbeckwith
I am trying to reduce an entire drawing to 11 x 17 format, which has groups embedded in the drawing. Quote Link to comment
Kevin
Clois, I ran into big problems when I accidentally reduced my entire drawing using VWA11.5. I would suggest doing this on a copy and not on your original file. An alternate method would be to simply scale the drawing during printing. You can do this in page setup. Or you can print to PDF at full size. When you print the PDF you can set your page size for whatever you like and Acrobat will resize to fit the page. Quote Link to comment
Travis
Clois, What version of VW are you using? If it's 11 or higher, you just need to use a viewport. No scaling reuired. Alternatively, use Layer Linking to bring a design layer of one scale to another layer of different scale. Then use the revised layer to print from. Good luck, Quote Link to comment
Kevin
Clois, What exactly are you trying to do? I use this tool often, and have no problem with it, except for accidentally resizing my entire drawing!! Quote Link to comment

I assume you are working on a 36X24 drawing, just go into Page Setup>Scale>50% it doesn't change the drawing, it just scales the output to the printer. Quote Link to comment
