ixplorer
I am investigating getting this idea of mine underway... having a VW drawing on-screen, ringing a client... getting them to go to a site... selecting my screen... and viewing real time as i guide them through my work... and talk to them 1-1 on the phone. Anyone currently do anything like this ? I think I have everything I need to get the job done... just want to know if I am ahead or behind some of you. This will save time, flights, and alot of hassle ! Cheers Guy Quote Link to comment
Guest
Well, you could use VNC to accomplish this. If you set up a VNC server on your computer (with the settings to disallow them from using keyboard and mouse if you desire) you can talk with them on the phone while at the same time demonstrating on screen what you mean. You can choose one of the (free) VNC servers here: http://www.redstonesoftware.com/support.html#VNC Your client would install a VNC client on his computer. If it is a Macintosh, it could be: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/ For Windows, your client could use: http://www.tightvnc.com/download.html Good luck! Lyndsey Quote Link to comment
ixplorer
Already aware of that... just really asking if anyone was already doing it and what they were using. Quote Link to comment
