dwg-import unifies individual directions of hatches instead of preserving them

When I import this dwg in to Vectorworks, the object-specific directions of all the hatches are not preserved as they should be. Instead they are unified to one direction/alignement. Since in this case the hatch direction indicates the direction of the roofes, preservation is absolutely necessary for me! Otherwise I would have to readjust all of them manually... The dwg is definitly fine. I checked it with an Autocad-clone. Thanks for any help!

When I open that dwg in AutoCAD, it says:

The DWG is definitely not fine.  I am unable to even use the matchprop command to apply the hatches found in this drawing to objects I created within it.  I suspect either a 3rd party program or GIS was used to create those hatches.  Or perhaps the UCS in AutoCAD was changed to align with each house prior to the roof being hatched.  That would actually explain why the hatch angle = 0, but all the hatches appear to be rotated.

I believe Vectorworks is doing what it is supposed to, applying the hatch using the parameters found inside the drawing.  It just so happens whatever was used to create those hatches did so without changing the rotation value of the individual hatches.  All of the hatches in that file have a rotation of 0...

Thanks Jeff for your analysis and time. The file is an export out of archicad by some other architect. So unfortunately I don't have any way to influence that... Seems like I have to readjust everything manually.
