FKA
Hello, I am wondering if it is possible to read out the device name/tag of the socket in a worksheet. Or in other words, does the socket anyhow "know" the name of the device it is part of? This would make working with sockets and user fields in sockets much easier, because I could sort my worksheet by Device Name and edit the sockets information in worksheets. Thanks for any suggestion Quote Link to comment

Note that this way you can also get other data from the device, as well as custom attached records. For more info check the description of eval socket device function in the insert worksheet function dialog. Best Regards, Nikolay Zhelyazkov 1 Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
If you are on the US version of VW, then the separators between the parameters of the ObjectData function will be commas ( , ) rather than semicolons ( ; ). This is based on the system settings for number formats and the decimal and thousands separators. 2 Quote Link to comment
