Weird Menu Bar behavior Vectorworks 2022

third time in three days the VWX menu bar has become unresponsive - see attached movie. Super bummer.

 

Watch the cursor carefully in the movie to see what's going on.

 

Luckily I can CMD+Q the app and it offers a save dialogue, so nothing lost data-wise, just more productive time lost.

 

Pardon me while I reboot & then re-open VWX…

Just happened again, this after a fresh reboot of the 2019 MBP. Getting very old.

Does it still happen if you have no other apps running except for Vw2022? The way that Stickies app is behaving w/Vw looks suspicious. Just a thought.

I got nuth’n.  I’de listen to @rDesign and kill all your apps to test.  I’ve had a few apps fight with the Mac OS in the past and cause VWX drama.

@rDesign@jeff princeThanks for the thoughts. Am about to restart the machine for another round of VWX pleasure, so I'll be sure to at least start with only that open. Gonna be hard to stick to that, as all reference materiel in other files. And life.

Have not had the time to do any sleuthing at all except as above, due to deadlines. The frame-left stickie has translucency on, the frame-right one does not.

Have I mentioned this seems to occur somewhat randomly?

@mjmThis is a known issue with some laptop users.  You'll want to turn off Automatic graphic switching in your Battery settings for now.

We have been able to duplicate the bug internally, though have been unsuccessful resolving the issue thus far.

hi, i have the same issue.  mac laptop and the pull down menus are unresponsive. this is terrible timing.  please let me know what to do to fix this asap.
