Lighting device w/ electrical components not passing through power

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've recently begun using the Cable Toolset included with Vectorworks Spotlight. After creating two custom distribution units and adding a consumer electrical component, as well as an output electrical component to a lighting device symbol, I've noticed a problem. When I connect a company switch to my distribution units and those to the first lighting device in a chain, I can see the power draw of the first lighting device in the chain. However, after connecting the first lighting device to another, the draw of the second lighting device is not reflected in the system. I've attached a few images that illustrate this issue. What am I missing here to make this power system work as expected?

Thank you,

Andrew

Hi Andrew

Can you post the file, so I can have a look?

Also what Service pack and build number are you on

There are a number of issues at this point with the power palette but from your images I can't tell whether this is one of the known issues or something new

Hi Jesse,

I've attached that Vectorworks file to this post. I am running 2022 SP3 (Build 636848) (64-Bit).

Thank you,

Andrew Roman

This is definitely a bug, and not one that I have already seen.
As far as I can tell the consumer component is not correctly connecting with the output component in the lights

I'll get a bug report opened for it,

What version of windows or MacOS are you running?
