David Poiron
Does anyone know why when I try to set the Mode of a stake object to "Set elev to site model" it fails to do so, setting the Mode to "Include as site model data" instead? Quote Link to comment
Boh
Check the stake is actually over or under a DTM. Quote Link to comment
bob cleaver
The stake should be in the class: DTM/site modifiers Make sure to update the site model after adding stakes Quote Link to comment
David Poiron
Unfortunately the class does not seem to make a difference. I simply cannot change the mode to "Set elev to site model". The stakes are definitely over the DTM. Quote Link to comment
Jeff Prince
Active class, nor design layer, matter in this. What does lead to success is setting your view to Top instead of Top/Plan and turning on your snaps to grab snaps on the site model while placing the stakes. Works with references viewport site models too 🙂 None of the above is necessary, as you should be able to drop stakes from Top/Plan view too and have them read site model elevation without any object snaps active, but it might help troubleshoot. If you still aren’t getting results, I would double check your stake settings. Hope it helps. Edited March 25, 2022 by jeff prince 1 Quote Link to comment
