Vectorworks 2022 Set working plane issue

I am trying to set working plane, and its not working. See attached picture of example. I wanna create a working plane where I added a red circle but it does not want to create working plane, in order to look at working plan to look at it head on.

Are you using the Create working Plane tool and what mode are you using?

I attached screen shot of what i was clicking. But I was able to solve the problem. It was just a vectorwork  issue, I closed vectorwork program and restarted and it fixed the problem.

Just so you know, there is a tool in the 3D toolset that also does the same function but with an added mode that lets you specify the plane by defining an x and Y axis.

I just tried a similar object to yours and I could not make the working plane stick to the top either.

A Restart of the computer (I don't know if a restart of VW only would have been enough, but I would bet it would) solved the problem.

 

And you know that there are now buttons in the Data bar allowing you to Look at the Working Plane and to Align Working Plane to Current View which let's you draw objects effectively on the screen.  But these are 3D objects, not Screen Plane objects unless you turn on the Legacy 2D options in Document Preferences.
