Benson Shaw
Are you seeing contours located off the Layer plane? Dwg contours are often created (? Or at least import as) 2d polylines/polygons which also have z values matching their expected elevation. The Plane designation in OIP is “3d” rather then “Layer”. Therefore, in 3d views, they float above other 2d layer plane geometry and text objects. This is great if one wants to use them as source objects for DTM. Just convert to 3d polys and create the terrain. If the z information is not useful or desired, several ways to defeat: Top/plan. Select all the contours. OIP>Plane field pull down>choose Layer Side view. Select all contours and a 2d object on the layer plane. Align>Bottom. Note that labels or other associated text with z will not respond. Reimport the dwg. Enable 2d only option. Didn't try this one but I think it works. Maybe others can comment whether this works??? post back if these are not helpful -B Edited March 14, 2022 by Benson Shaw Polys Quote Link to comment
