In many ways, Vectorworks tries to look and feel like Sketchup, but then it's so weirdly illogical at times.
I've always wondered what technical issues prevent CGS Solids/Extrudes from receiving color and transparency like the image shown below.
To generate this image in a shaded model space, I have to assign a texture with the correct color and opacity, and then duplicate the object and turn off the fills to show edges. Curious as to why.
