It seems when I scan a line drawing in and convert it to an image file then import into vectorworks file--- Whwn I import it and then do the trace bitmaop tool, it is not accurate what so ever. Has anyone ever had success using this tool, if so what are necessary step to use it correctly? Quote Link to comment

Travis Posted October 14, 2005 Share Posted October 14, 2005 The necessary steps are simple: trace over the scanned image with the appropriate tool(s) using your wisdom to correct as needed. No computer program(mer) is as smart as you are when it comes to tracing!! Quote Link to comment
propstuff Posted October 14, 2005 Share Posted October 14, 2005 I've had some success with relatively simple, clean, high contrast line drawings. Even then it makes a bunch of superfluous, strange "random" lines. Comparitively, the equivalent tool in Flash is a humdinger. The others are right though; it's easier to just do it by hand :-?
