Eamonn
Hello, I have my keypad views. Front, sides, back, top, 45 degree looking down... but is there a way of view from 45 degrees but level, just like a front/side/back view? Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Andy Broomell
There isn't any existing hotkey for that sort of view, but here are some ways to get to that view in the first place: Go to a front or side view, then hold Shift while using the Flyover tool. This will rotate the view like a turntable, effectively locking the Z axis as you rotate around. However, it won't snap perfectly to 45° so this could only get you close. Another thing you could do is go to a front view, then use the "Rotate 3D View" command from the View menu to type in 45° on Y axis relative to current view. (Or play with different numbers on different axes to achieve what you want). One you get to a view you like, you could save it as a Saved View to easily return back to it. There might even be a way to take the Saved View script and turn it into a command with a hotkey that could be used across documents, but that's a bit beyond my experience. 2 Quote Link to comment
