Keep record of a substitution for a plant species: what was originally specified and then what was actually planted. Its important to keep track of substitutions and also not lose the original design.

This makes sense. I've done this on a project where we needed to track trees removed (because they died) and replacement trees. Thanks for reminding me of that. I can basically reuse what I made for that.
