ROTATED TOP PLAN NOT WORKING

Rotated Top Plan not working

 

I've had this issue a few times and can't find a way to resolve it. When I rotate a plan, the screen will rotate but VW still thinks its at 0 degrees and display the panel as Top/ Plan when it should be rotated top plan. This will cause the entire file to glitch and unusable. Has anyone experienced this and know why this is happening?

I have not had this issue. Is it with a big file, or have you used a custom symbol?

The nature of this issue makes me suspect your file has what I refer to as, 'far out objects.' It is even more likely if this only happens with this file or files derived from it.

 

Use the guide linked below to check for and remedy these, but if you're using Vectorworks 2022, beware that I've not updated to accommodate the now-retired 'Unified View' facility. 

 

 

If the file doesn't have any far out objects, run through the Resetting Vectorworks Preferences process, making sure to read/abide everything carefully.

Thank you for your responses. I suspect the issue is connected to a symbol and/ or far out objects. I'll look into the above and see if this fixes the issue
