tmb
Hi All, Hoping this is a quick question that can be solved by someone more experienced than I. I would like to arrange my extrudes along a curved then use them to extract 'holes' into my curved wall. I image it would be simple enough using the surface array tool but I am struggling to use it in this scenario. I basically want to create a curved Breezeway block wall. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Here's a possible solution using symbols to cut the wall. Note that the symbol is one stack of blocks and has a wall hole component of a single extrude to cut the wall. I think if you made it wider (eg. multiple blocks), it would start to do weird things. Symbols are technically designed to make a straight cut in a straight wall. Kevin Breezeway Wall.vwx Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Edit:Duplicate Along Path with the Center Object On Path and Tangent to Path options set is probably the easiest way. I would probably run just one row and then duplicate and offset them up/down as necessary to make the array. Quote Link to comment
