canthony
Hi all, I have an open gl (shaded) viewport with various classes. I would like to grey out some of these classes so they are still visible but not the main focus of the drawing. I find the greyed out eye icon in the visibility palette to be ineffective - If the object is against a white background it is completely invisible. Perhaps there is a way of specifying opacity by class? I assume there is an easy way to do this but I can't figure it out! Many thanks Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
There is no opacity control in rendered view unless you use textures with reduced opacity. Sorry. Hope fully someone will share some sort of work around with both of us. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
You can do a class override in the viewport. Select the viewport > OIP > Classes > Click on a Class > Edit > Textures > Pick a texture that you've created to be as transparent as you need. It will only apply to that one viewport, but you can use the eyedropper tool to pick up class overrides and drop them onto other viewports. Quote Link to comment
